Shafaq News/ The White House is considering ending federal funding for an educational program run by the University of North Carolina and Duke University.

The White House claims that a program in the Middle East study is overly concerned with Islam. According to lawmakers, the study promotes Islamic ideology and emphasizes the positive aspects of Islamic faith, but not Christianity or Judaism, according to The Independent Newspaper.

The University representatives announced that they would provide details of the program to the Ministry of Education, and if deputies did not approve it, government funding for the program would be stopped.

The Minister of Education, Betsy Davos began the investigation after a complaint from a Republican congressman, who drew his attention to a conference on the Gaza Strip that he considered biased against Israel and anti-Semitism.
