Shafaq News / The number of infected people with Covid-19 in the United States exceeded 4 million on Thursday, with an average of more than 2,600 new cases per hour which is the highest in the world, according to a Reuters DATA.

The rate of infection in the United States has increased since the first case was detected on January 21, which is consecutively 1000000 within 98 days, 2000000 after another 43 days, 3000000 after 27 days, to reach an average of 43 cases per minute.

The federal government often disagrees with state and city mayors on how best to deal with the epidemic, leading to conflicting rules like wearing masks in public places and the allowance of reopening of shops and institutions.
