Shafaq News / Iran announced today, Friday, that external involvement in the explosion of the "Natanz" nuclear facility, if proved, will have repercussions, while indicating that the cause of the explosion will be revealed after completing the investigation.
The Iranian authorities had recently reported an accident in one of the buildings of Natanz nuclear plant, confirming that it resulted in damage to the building without any human losses.
"If a foreign involvement is established in Natanz explosion, we will announce it and it will have consequences", Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said in a press statement today in the central province of Isfahan.
"We are waiting for the security services to gather details about the causes of the explosion" he said, noting that it is too early to set a final judgement over the causes of the explosion.
While the reports were conflicting about who carried out the attack, the head of the Iranian Civil Defense Organization, Ghulam Reza Jalali, confirmed last Friday that Tehran does not rule out the possibility of sabotage or cyber-attack by US and Israel.
The Persian BBC TV reported that a group calling itself “Nimr Al-Watan” sent a statement to the channel, in which it adopted the accident of the “Natanz” facility and claimed its members embedded in the Iranian security system.
