Shafaq News /Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio called Turkey on Tuesday   to stop its aggression against Syria, as there was no military response to resolve the crisis there.

De Maio said that the solution to the Syrian crisis must be diplomatic rather than military, declaring a ban on arms sales to Turkey.

De Maio noted full support for the measures “including a European embargo on arms exports to Ankara”.

He stressed that "we cannot accept other innocent victims and more bloodshed or blackmail about immigrants," and added in conclusion of what he wrote that "the response to the crisis cannot be military."
