Shafaq News/ The loss of Saudi Arabia due to the attack on two vital oil facilities of "Aramco" on September 14 reached to more than half a billion US dollars.
The source told Reuters that the preliminary estimates of "Aramco" losses from the attack reached two billion riyals, equivalent to 533 million dollars.
Aramco, the world's largest oil company, is seeking insurance cover from the risks of war and terrorist attacks after the September 11 attacks, Reuters quoted two sources as saying.
On September 14, a big attacked targeted Saudi Arabia two oil facilities of Aramco in the east of the country, namely Abqaiq oil refinery and the Khurais migration field, which was adopted by the Yemeni Houthi group Ansar Allah, which controls the border areas with Saudi Arabia in northern Yemen. The operation was carried out by 10 drones.
Saudi Energy Minister ,Khalid al-Falih announced then that the attack had stopped Saudi Arabia's production of 5.7 million barrels of oil per day, exceeding 50% of the country's production rate and 5% in the world, to announce in October that Riyadh had recovered full production.
The kingdom and the United States, joined by Britain, France and Germany, have accused Iran of being behind the operation, a charge Tehran denies.
Against this backdrop, the United States announced an additional 3,000 U.S. troops, an aerial reconnaissance force, and two Patriot batteries, two squadrons of defense fighter jets and batches of Thad and Patriot missiles to bolster the kingdom's defense capabilities.
