Shafaq News / The Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani accused on Tuesday the US administration of "practicing persecution" against the peoples of the region, including the Iraqi people.

This came in a speech he delivered today in the capital, Tehran.

Rouhani said during the speech, "There is seldom a country in the region that was not affected by the American injustice and embargo," noting that "the American administration practiced persecution against the peoples of Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen."

He added that "the peoples of the region, from Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen, all stood up to American arrogance and with God willing, victory will be our ally."
