Shafaq News / Iranian President ,Hassan Rouhani said on Tuesday that his country's armed forces had avenged the leader of the Revolutionary Guards Corps, Qassem Soleimani by bombing Ain al-Assad military base in Anbar province in western Iraq.
In a speech he gave among crowds of Iranians in the capital, Tarhan, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Iranian revolution, Rouhani said that the Iranian armed forces took revenge by bombing "Ain al-Assad" base with missiles, noting that this bombing was at the will of the people who asked for revenge against Soleimani's killers.
He added, "Soleimani was a leader and a great diplomat, he lost his life during his visit to Iraq to meet the Prime Minister there, Abdul-Mahdi."
Rouhani added that Soleimani had gone to Iraq to hold a diplomatic meeting not to target the region as Israel and America claim, noting that "Soleimani has restored stability to Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and the whole region."
