Shafaq News / The Iranian Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Abdul-Ridha Masri announced on Tuesday, that the number of MPs infected with the new Corona virus has risen to 23.

Masri said, according to what was reported by the Iranian press, that "it was proven that 23 Iranian parliamentarians were infected with Corona virus, after conducting the necessary medical tests for them, because they were in close contact with people carrying the virus."

"We advise the current parliamentarians and the winners of the recent parliamentary elections, to cut off their relations with people at the present time, so that they do not transmit the new Corona virus to them," Masri said.

The Iranian deputy speaker revealed that the popular meetings between deputies and people were temporarily canceled, calling on delegates and voters not to contact people during Nowruz festival which falls on March 21.
