Shafaq News/ Sudan's Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok on Thursday announced a cabinet reshuffle of his transitional government, fulfilling earlier promises made in his last speech at the end of June.

At an emergency cabinet meeting on Thursday, Hamdok asked his cabinet ministers to submit their resignations and then assign him to the ministry until a new government is formed.

The cabinet reshuffle came ahead of an imminent peace deal with the armed groups from Darfur, South Kordofan, and the Blue Nile regions

It's noteworthy that Hamdok leads a government of technocrats under a 39-month power-sharing agreement between the military and civilian groups that was reached following the removal of the country's longtime ruler Omar al-Bashir last year.
