Shafaq News / US President Donald Trump announced that the United States holds China fully responsible for the spread of the novel corona virus in the world.

"We hold China fully responsible for concealing the virus and unleashing it upon the world. They should have stopped it", Trump said at a press conference, Tuesday evening.

Furthermore, the US president said that he has not spoken with his Chinese counterpart, XI Jinping, and has no plans to do so.  

The United States, which is the most affected country by the pandemic, with about 3.5 million cases and 138 thousand fatalities.

It is noteworthy that Trump is facing widespread criticism for his administration's handling of the pandemic, raising doubts about his chances of winning the upcoming presidential election in November 2020.
