Shafaq News / The World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanum Gebresus said on Wednesday, that Corona virus can be classified as a global epidemic.

The Director-General of the organization added that the number of cases outside China increased by 13 times in the past two weeks.

He added that WHO expresses its deep concern about the levels of spread and severity of the virus, as well as its deep concern about not taking adequate measures.

Mike Ryan, executive director of WHO's emergency health program, said that using the term global pandemic to describe corona would not change the way we deal with the virus.

Ryan pointed out that other countries will be in the same position as Italy and Iran with Corona virus very soon, as these two countries are witnessing a big outbreak of the virus.
